TVING dropped first stills from its upcoming original series Queen Woo, featuring Jeon Jong Seo in the character of Woo Hee.
Queen Woo is a historical drama about Queen Woo, who becomes the target of five factions and princes of Goguryeo vying for the throne after the king's death.
In the drama, actress Jeon Jong Seo plays Queen Woo Hee of Goguryeo. Woo Hee, known as the most beautiful woman in the kingdom, is from the Woo clan, which has produced queens for generations. Despite her intelligence and strength, she has lived like a chess piece for her clan just because she is a woman.
However, with the sudden death of the king, Woo Hee finds herself in the midst of a power struggle between the clans. To survive, she unveils her true self, which she has been hiding under the title of queen all along.
In the stills, one can see the change in Woo Hee's life. With grace and dignity, she commands the palace, exuding the elegance and charisma of a queen.
Then, she undergoes a transformation. Fully transformed into a general on the battlefield wearing armor and drawing a bow, she exhibits a charisma different from that in the palace. Anticipation grows for whether Woo Hee, who has been plunged in a power struggle, can protect herself and her family.
Queen Woo will be released on August 29. The K-drama will be available to stream on Paramount+.
