Jo Jung Suk will reportedly return to the small screen with a historical k-drama.

On December 23rd, several media outlets revealed that Jo Jung Suk will be the main lead of the upcoming historical melodrama "Sejak" (세작). 

Jo Jung Suk's agency JAM Entertainment responded to the casting reports. According to them, "Jo Jung Suk did receive the offer and he is currently positively reviewing the k-drama. 

"Sejak" (세작) will tell the cruel love story of King Lee In who is struggling between political and royal power, and Kang Hee Soo, a spy who will lure and seduce him for revenge. 

The upcoming k-drama will be directed by "The Crowned Clown" director, Kim Seok Deok. It will be produced by C-Jes Entertainment. 

Jo Jung Suk got the offer to play the role of King Lee In. 

There are no official details yet on when and where "Sejak" (세작) will be broadcasted.

If Jo Jung Suk confirms his casting, this will be his next k-drama after the hit "Hospital Playlist Season 2." Since the tvN series ended, Jo Jung Suk focused on working on his two upcoming films. 

The versatile actor is set to star in the upcoming movies "Pilot" and "The Land of Happiness" wherein he will work alongside Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Sun Kyun, Jin Ki Joo, Kang Mal Geum, and Choi Won Young.

 Also, if Jo Jung Suk decided to appear in "Sejak" (세작), this will be his return to historical k-dramas after four years. He last starred in a historical genre k-drama in 2019 with "The Nokdu Flower." 

Jo Jung Suk is known for being part of the k-dramas "Hospital Playlist Season 1," "Two Cops," "Jealousy Incarnate," "Oh My Ghost," "You Are The Best!," "King2Hearts," and more.
