The highly anticipated K-drama starring Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won has started its production.
On March 27, media outlets shared that the upcoming K-drama Polaris has begun filming. Some staff of the K-drama also shared posts hinting at the start of the filming. It was stated that the K-drama has begun its filming last March 25.
Polaris will tell the romance story of two spies who lost their identities and continuously worked to search for their true selves.
The upcoming spy romance K-drama will be the next collaboration work of director Kim Hee Won (Vincenzo and The Crowned Clown) and writer Jung Seo Kyung (Mother and The Handmaiden). The two previously worked together for the hit series Little Women.
According to reports, the upcoming K-drama Polaris will have a total of eight episodes. There is no official confirmation yet on where and when Polaris will be broadcast.
The combination between Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won has been highly anticipated since it was reported last year. Even Jun Ji Hyun's mother-in-law, designer Lee Jung Woo expressed her excitement about the tandem of the top stars and even stated that it is her favorite combination.

This will be the grand comeback of Kang Dong Won to the K-drama scene after almost 20 years. He last appeared in a K-drama in 2004 through the series Magic. The top actor is also set to lead the upcoming movies Uprising and The Incident.
