Jung Ji So will be the heroine in the upcoming K-drama version of the hit film Miss Granny.

On March 3, production company Studio V Plus announced that the 2014 movie  Miss Granny which attracted over 8 million viewers will be remade as a K-drama. They also revealed that Jung Ji So will lead the series version.

The film was so popular that it got different remakes from various countries such as the Philippines, China, Japan, and Thailand. This time, Korea will be the one to remake it as a series. 

In the drama version, Miss Granny will narrate the story of Oh Mal Soon, a 70-year-old grandmother who will turn into a 20-year-old woman overnight and will enjoy her youth once again. 

Jung Ji So will portray the role of Oh Doo Ri and will showcase the freshness of a 20-year-old youth who will pursue her forgotten dream of being a singer.

Miss Granny will be the collaboration work of director Park Yong Soon (Wanted and Secret Mother) and writer Heo Sung Min.

This will be the fourth K-drama of Jung Ji So for the year. This month, she is set to return as Moon Dong Eun's younger version in the upcoming second installment of The Glory Part 2. Jung Ji So will also join the upcoming K-dramas Perfect Family and The Cursed Season 2

Aside from K-dramas, Jung Ji So will also participate in the upcoming films Midnight Sun and Holy Night: Demon Hunters

Jung Ji So began her acting career as a child back in 2012. Since then, she has proven herself to be a versatile and excellent actress through different genres of works. She is known for being part of the hit works May Queen, Empress Ki, Parasite, Curtain Call, The Glory, and more.
