The K-movie 12.12: The Day, directed by Kim Sung Soo, has surpassed 2 million moviegoers in just six days since its release, showcasing a rapid surge in box office success.

According to the box office integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council, 12.12: The Day attracted 239,671 moviegoers on November 27, securing the top spot. The total number of moviegoers has reached approximately 2,132,367.

Exceeding 2 million moviegoers on its 6th day at the box office, 12.12: The Day outperformed Smugglers and Concrete Utopia. 

12.12: The Day depicts the nine intense hours of the emergency to prevent the rebellion of the new military regime that occurred in Seoul on December 12, 1979. It is the first Korean film based on the subject of the 12.12 military rebellion. 

It stars Hwang Jung MinJung Woo Sung, and Lee Sung Min, among others, and garnered attention for securing the top spot at the box office during its opening weekend.
