Appearance Fee Disputes Emerge for Cast of K-Drama "High School Return of a Gangster"
Kang Ji Eun will be added to the cast of the upcoming KBS romance youth K-drama Oasis.
On March 2, it was officially confirmed that Kang Ji Eun will be part of the upcoming K-drama Oasis. She will be working closely with Seol In Ah's character in the series.
This will be her first K-drama for 2023. The actress was last seen in the 2022 Netflix original K-drama Somebody led by Kim Young Kwang, Kang Hae Lim, Kim Yong Ji, Kim Soo Yeon, Choi Yoo Ha, and Chu Seon Woo.
Kang Ji Eun is known for being a theatre actress since 1987. She has won several awards for theatres.
The actress made her debut on the small screen in 2018 through the K-drama Cross. She has also starred in several series such as It's Okay to Not Be Okay, To All The Guys Who Loved Me, Lost, and Happiness.
Expectation arises with the upcoming performance of Kang Ji Eun as she is known for her solid acting skills.
Oasis will showcase the life of young people who fiercely fight for their dreams, friendships, and love life in the setting of the turbulent times of Korea from the 1980s to the 1990s.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Jang Dong Yoon, Seol In Ah, Choo Young Woo, Do Sang Woo, Hyun Seung Hee, and Park Noh Shik.
Oasis will be directed by Han Hee and Yoon Sung Shik, and the script will be written by Jung Hyung Soo.
Kang Ji Eun will play the role of Cha Geum Ok. She is a film producer and distributor in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do. She will also be the teacher of Seol In Ah's character named Sophia.
Oasis will air its first episode on March 6. It will be available on KBS and the OTT platform, wavve.
