TWICE's Kim Da Hyun confirmed to make her acting debut!
Kim Go Eun is in discussion to reunite with Jeon Do Yeon after nine years.
According to various media outlets on January 17, Kim Go Eun has been cast as one of the main leads of the upcoming K-drama The Price of Confession. The reports stated that actress Kim Ji Won has decided to not appear in the series and Kim Go Eun received the proposal to play the character that was first offered to Kim Ji Won.
Kim Go Eun's agency shared their official statement regarding the reports. According to BH Entertainment, "Kim Go Eun is positively reviewing the offer to star in the upcoming K-drama The Price of Confession."
Many are already showing interest in the possible reunion of Kim Go Eun and Jeon Do Yeon. The two previously worked together in the 2015 film Memories of the Sword with Lee Byung Hun, Bae Soo Bin, Lee Kyung Young, Kim Tae Woo, and more.
Before Kim Go Eun stars in The Price of Confession, she will first lead the upcoming movie Exhuma which is set to premiere next month. The actress is also expected to be part of the novel-based film Love in the Big City.
Kim Go Eun will also join the upcoming K-drama Eun Jung and Sang Yeon. She will be working alongside Park Ji Hyun and Kim Gun Woo.
The Price of Confession was first offered to Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee. After the two top stars backed out from the series, it was offered to Jeon Do Yeon. Jeon Do Yeon is currently reviewing the offer to lead the K-drama.
Just last week, it was also reported that the K-drama was offered to Kim Ji Won. At first, the actress' agency shared that she is positively reviewing it. Today, a media outlet revealed that Kim Ji Won will no longer take part in the series.
The upcoming K-drama will be the first work of director Lee Jeong Hyo for the year. He is known for being the director of the K-dramas Doona!, Crash Landing on You, Romance Is a Bonus Book, and Life on Mars.
The Price of Confession will depict the story of two women whose lives will change because of a murder case. It will focus on an art teacher and a mysterious woman as they face the murder case.
The upcoming K-drama is set to begin filming in 2024.
