Jeon Jong Seo receives offer to star in the upcoming K-drama "Genie House"
A trusted actress and director will be working together to create another masterpiece K-drama titled Trigger.
On June 15, various media channels reported that top actress Kim Hye Soo would return to the modern era and will star in a new office comedy K-drama helmed by The Uncanny Counter director, Yoo Seon Dong.
Kim Hye Soo's agency HODU&U Entertainment responded to the casting reports. According to them, actress Kim Hye Soo received the offer to star in Trigger and is currently reviewing it.
If Kim Hye Soo decided to star in the upcoming K-drama, this will be her follow-up series after the hit 2022 historical K-drama Under the Queen's Umbrella.
This year, Kim Hye Soo is also set to return to the small screen with the upcoming movie Smugglers. She will be working with Yeom Jung Ah, Zo In Sung, Park Jung Min, Kim Jong Soo, and Go Min Si.
Kim Hye Soo is known for starring in different hit works from films to K-dramas. Just last year, the actress' K-dramas Under the Queen's Umbrella and Juvenile Justice were both loved not only by local viewers but also by the International audience.
Many are already looking forward to the next projects of Kim Hye Soo.
Trigger is an office K-drama that will revolve around Korea’s first Investigative Journalism Bureau of a broadcasting company.
Kim Hye Soo will play the role of the team leader of the Investigative Journalism Bureau. She is known for having a strong sense of justice full of charisma. She will do her best to revive the program which is set to be abolished by digging into the truth of the case.
According to reports, Trigger will begin filming in the second half of the year.
