Seo Hyun Woo joins Sung Joon as one of the villains in the upcoming "The Fiery Priest Season 2"
Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang are confirmed to star in a new fantasy romance drama.
On September 26th, MBC officially confirmed that Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang will be the main lead in the upcoming drama "The Season of Kkok Du." The production of the drama also announced that they already began filming for the series.
"The Season of Kkok Du" will revolve around the food of death who comes down to the world every 99 years. There he will meet a doctor with mysterious abilities.
The upcoming series will be directed by Baek Soo Chan and the script will be written by Kang Yi Hun.
Kim Jung Hyun will play the role of Kkok Du. He is the eccentric guide of the underworld. Kkok Du has been cursed to guide the dead in the afterlife and punish the human trash in the world by entering the body of Do Jin Woo, a human being who looks exactly like him.
Im Soo Hyang will play the role of Han Gye Jeol. She's a doctor who graduated from medical school but ranked the lowest in the whole of Korea. She only has her brother by her side after their mom died. She feels infinitely smaller in the eyes of society because they only recognize doctors that are from top universities. After she meets Do Jin Woo, she will face a turning point in her life.

"The Season of Kkok Du" will exclusively premiere on MBC.
This will be the third drama that Im Soo Hyang will be filming this year. Early this year, she filmed for two different drama genres such as "Woori The Virgin" and "Doctor Lawyer." This upcoming series will possibly be her first project that will air in 2023.
Meanwhile, this will be the comeback drama of Kim Jung Hyun since the 2020 hit series "Mr. Queen." This will also be his first drama after getting involved in the dating and attitude controversy in 2021.
