Kim So Yeon will reportedly be the next female lead of the upcoming second season of "Tale of the Nine-Tailed."
Last month, it was reported that "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" will become a season system. It is set to air in the first half of 2022.
On October 27th, several media outlets shared that the next muse of "Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 2" will be none other than Kim So Yeon. However, her agency J Wide clarified the reports and stated that the tvN drama is one of the works that has been offered to their artist, and nothing is confirmed yet.
"Tale of the Nine-Tailed" story began with a nine-tailed fox who has settled in the city and a producer pursues him. The first season aired in October 2020 and it garnered the highest rating of 5.8 percent. The second season will depict the Japanese colonial era as the background. For seasons 2 and 3, the genre will be changed to historical fantasy.
In the earlier reports, it was stated that the original female lead of "Tale of the Nine-Tailed"Jo Bo Ah will not participate in the upcoming new seasons. That's why Kim So Yeon will possibly work with Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum in the second season.
"Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 2" will be directed by Kang Shin Hyo and it will reportedly have 10 episodes.
Kim So Yeon spent the whole of 2021 starring in two seasons of the top rating SBS drama "The Penthouse: War in Life." She became more famous after starring in the phenomenal drama. If she confirms her casting on "Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 2," this will be her follow-up project.
The actress is currently on break and she recently guested on the 4th episode of the reality program "We Don't Bite: Villains in the Countryside" led by Penthouse co-stars Uhm Ki Joon, Bong Tae Kyu, and Yoon Jong Hoon.
Kim So Yeon was also the main lead of the dramas "Mother of Mine," "Happy Home," "Falling for Innocence," "I Need Romance 3," "Two Weeks," "Prosecutor Princess," and more.
