Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won Feel Like a Fish Out of Water at Their In-Laws' Place in "Queen of Tears
New teasers from Queen of Tears have been unveiled.
The production team of Queen of Tears released family posters and short teasers, highlighting the contrasting vibes of the Queens Group's family and the Yongdu-ri (name of Baek Hyun Woo's hometown) family, who become one through the marriage of Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) and Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won).
The posters and teasers highlight the family mealtime of the Queens Group family and Yongdu-ri's family. Members of the Queens Group, fitting for their reputation as the top conglomerate in Korea, are depicted dining in luxury.
In the Queens Group's poster, Baek Hyun Woo stands behind his wife, Hong Hae In, while everyone else is seated at the table. His stern expression while standing alone suggests his awkward position in the Queens Group family. Meanwhile, Yoon Eun Seong (Park Sung Hoon), not even a family member, confidently occupies a seat, leaving viewers intrigued.
In contrast to the serene ambiance at the Queens Group's table, the Yongdu-ri family has a lively mealtime filled with razzle-dazzle. The table is laid with a feast, filled with various dishes such as chicken and braised ribs, prepared for the daughter-in-law, Hong Hae In.
Unlike Baek Hyun Woo, who comfortably eats, Hong Hae In looks uncomfortable, seemingly unfit for the situation.
Especially compared to the casual clothing of the Yongdu-ri family, Hong Hae In's formal attire makes her stand out.
As seen, there is a stark contrast in ambiance between the Queens Group family and the Yongdu-ri family, even during their family mealtimes.
The teaser's caption, "A family tied by marriage, despite all of this," raises curiosity about whether Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In, who clearly do not seem to fit into their in-laws' households, can find their place in them.
Queen of Tears is set to premiere on March 9. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix. Watch the teaser here and here.
