Kim Tae Hee and Park Hae Soo are advancing to Hollywood.
On January 30, it was officially confirmed that Kim Tae Hee and Park Hae Soo will be the main leads of the upcoming Amazon Prime Video original thriller drama Butterfly. The two will be working with Daniel Dae Kim, the producer of the series.
Both Kim Tae Hee and Park Hae Soo's side confirmed the news that they are starring in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video drama.
Butterfly is a spy thriller series that revolves around David Jung (Daniel Dae Kim), a former U.S. intelligence agent whose life becomes a mess by choice and the past, and agent Rebecca who chases him because she was ordered to kill him. The series will be based on the graphic novel of the same name. The upcoming series will be starred and produced by the Korean American actor Daniel Dae Kim.
Expectation arises on the chemistry between Kim Tae Hee and Park Hae Soo as well as their acting using a different language from their usual projects, which is English.
Butterfly will exclusively premiere on Amazon Prime Video. There is no official confirmation yet on the release date of the upcoming series.
This will be the first time that Kim Tae Hee will have an appearance in a Hollywood project. Although this will be her first time, the top actress will not have a hard time because she is fluent in English.
Just recently, Kim Tae Hee made a special cameo appearance in the K-drama Welcome to Samdal-ri. She last starred in the 2023 series Lies Hidden in My Garden with Im Ji Yeon.
Meanwhile, this will not be the first time that Park Hae Soo will be seen in Hollywood. The actor became globally known after starring in the 2021 Netflix original K-drama Squid Game. He also received a nomination for the Best Supporting Actor at the 74th Emmy Awards because of it.
Aside from Butterfly, Park Hae Soo will also lead the upcoming K-drama Karma.
