Appearance Fee Disputes Emerge for Cast of K-Drama "High School Return of a Gangster"
Kim Woo Bin and Kim Sung Kyun will be working together on a new action comedy film.
On July 26th, Netflix announced that Kim Woo Bin and Kim Sung Kyung will lead the upcoming movie titled Officer Black Belt.
Officer Black Belt will be the next project of director Kim Joo Hwan (Jason Kim), well known for creating the films My Heart Puppy, The Divine Fury, Midnight Runners, and the 2023 Netflix original K-drama Bloodhounds.
The upcoming movie will revolve around a martial arts practitioner and a probation officer that will work together to monitor the people who are wearing electronic anklets to prevent crimes from happening.
Officer Black Belt will be produced by Climax Studio. There are no official details yet on when the upcoming movie will start filming as well as the premiere of Officer Black Belt in Netflix worldwide.
In the upcoming movie, Kim Woo Bin will play the role of Lee Jung Do, a brilliant martial artist with a 9th-degree black belt in taekwondo, kendo, and judo. He's a person who cannot just pass by when someone is struggling. One day, he saved a martial arts practitioner who was attacked by a criminal wearing an electronic anklet. After that, he worked as a martial arts practitioner as a substitute.
Kim Sung Kyun on the other hand will bring life to the role of Kim Sun Min. He is known for being skilled in detecting crimes. He also possesses martial arts skills. He is a probation officer who manages violent criminals. He will work with Lee Jung Do as his temporary partner.
