After achieving its highest viewership of 12.31%, the JTBC drama King the Land dropped to a nationwide rating of 10.19% for its ninth episode but remained the most-watched show on JTBC. The drama ranked 1st from June 26 - July 2 on the list of "Global Top 10 Shows on Netflix" (non-English), but after its controversy of misrepresentation of Arab Prince and culture, it fell to 3rd place, as of July 9 (top10.netflix.com). Nevertheless, King the Land continues the retain its spot as one of the most-watched shows on domestic and international platforms.
