The action comedy Korean movie Ungnami has, at last, been confirmed to release on March 22nd. Posters portraying the dynamic personalities of the characters in the movie have also been released.
The comedy action movie is based on a Danggun myth. According to the myth, bears can turn into humans after eating garlic and mugwort. The story revolves around twin Asiatic Bear brothers who were under the captivity of a North Korean Institute of Technology. One day, they both make an escape from the institute after eating garlic and mugwort, opening the door for chaos.
The versatile actor Park Sung Woong, who was last seen alongside Joo Ji Hoon in Gentleman, will play the dual role of Woong Nam and his twin brother Woong Buk I.
Lee Yi Kyung - famous for his comedic roles in Eulachacha Waikiki and Hitman: Agent Jun - is Woong Nam's (Park Sung Woong) neighborhood friend Mal Bong, who is also a YouTuber with ten subscribers.
Yeom Hye Ran plays Woong Nam's mother Jang Gyung Soo. Choi Min Soo is Woong Nam's adoptive father Lee Jung Shik and the boss of an international criminal organization. Baek Ji Hye is a local cop, Yoon Na Ra. Ungnami will reportedly mark the directorial debut of Park Sung Kwang. So far, there is no word about the movie's release on OTT platforms.
