Lee Joon Hyuk is in discussion to join the upcoming webtoon-based drama "Vigilante."
On May 12th media outlet Sports Chosun shared that Lee Joon Hyuk will be joining the upcoming series "Vigilante." He will reportedly be joining Nam Joo Hyuk who is also in talks to lead the drama.
Lee Joon Hyuk's agency Ace Factory responded to the reports and shared that the actor is positively considering his appearance in the drama.
"Vigilante" will base its story on the Naver webtoon of the same name written by CRG and illustrated by Kim Kyu Sam. The series will revolve around Kim Ji Yong, a police college student who chases criminals every weekend.
Kim Ji Yong will reportedly be portrayed by Nam Joo Hyuk. Meanwhile, Lee Joon Hyuk got the offer to play the role of Cho Kang Ok, the vice chairman of DK Group and architect of Vigilante.
"Vigilante" is in discussion to be released through a global OTT platform. There are no details yet on the official broadcast date.
If Lee Joon Hyuk confirms his casting, this will be his first upcoming drama project for the year. The actor will be busy this year with movies. He will star in the upcoming films "Firemen" and the "Outlaws 3."
In 2021, the actor starred in two dramas. He was part of "Dark Hole" with Kim Ok Bin, Park Keun Rok, Oh Yu Jin, Song Sang Eun, and Lee Ye Bit. He also made cameos in the series "Secret Royal Inspector & Joy" and "Our Beloved Summer."
