Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin will reportedly work together for the upcoming space-themed drama titled "Ask The Stars"
On November 18th, several reports stated that Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho have been cast as the main characters of the upcoming drama "Ask The Stars." The drama will be the latest project of writer Seo Sook Hyang who also worked for hit dramas "Pasta" and "Jealousy Incarnate." It is said that the writer has been working on this drama for three years.
Gong Hyo Jin's agency Management SOOP shared their side and stated that their artist is currently reviewing the offer.
Lee Min Ho's agency MYM Entertainment also responded to the reports and stated that "Ask The Stars" is one of the works that has been proposed to the actor.
"Ask The Stars" is said to have a 40 billion won (approximately $34 million US dollars) budget for the construction of the space station set. The drama will be the first-ever series in Korea that is set in outer space.
The drama is a romantic comedy that will showcase how a space tourist and astronaut fall in love.
If Gong Hyo Jin accepts the drama, this will be her reunion with writer Seo Sook Hyang. The two worked for the dramas "Jealousy Incarnate" and "Pasta."
The broadcast details of Ask The Stars" are not yet revealed.
Lee Min Ho last starred in the 2020 drama "The King: Eternal Monarch" with Kim Go Eun, Woo Do Hwan, Lee Jung Jin, Jung Eun Chae, and more. He is also set to star in the upcoming Apple TV+'s original series "Pachinko" with Youn Yuh Jung.
If Gong Hyo Jin accepts the casting offer for "Ask The Stars," this will be her comeback drama since 2019's "When the Camellia Blooms" where she got her first daesang (Grand Prize). Aside from "Ask The Stars," the actress will also reportedly join the upcoming drama "Queen of the Scene" with Park Ha Sun.
