Lee Sun Kyun, Yoo Jae Myung, Kim Moo Yeol, and Lee Kwang Soo will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama Open Murder Contract.
It was officially confirmed on August 10th that the upcoming mystery thriller K-drama Open Murder Contract will be led by the star-studded cast. They will be working with director Choi Kook Hee who also helmed the films Life Is Beautiful, Default, and Tale of Cinema.
Open Murder Contract will showcase the open murder contract with a reward of 20 billion won (approximately $15,314,884) for the life of an evil criminal who was released after 13 years. It will reveal the battle between those who want to kill and those who want to survive.
The filming will start this October and it will be produced by LG U+'s content studio STUDIO X+U and Twin Films.
Lee Sun Kyun will play the role of Baek Joong Sik, a police officer whose duty is to protect rare felons from citizens. This will be the first K-drama of the actor for 2023. He will also join the upcoming K-dramas Payback: Money and Power and Dr. Brain Season 2.
Yoo Jae Myung will play the role of Kim Kook Ho. He is the evil criminal who will be released after 13 years of imprisonment. This will be one of the many work lineups of the actor. Yoo Jae Myung will also star in the upcoming K-dramas The Good Man, Song of the Bandits, Love Me, Country and Nation, and films The Land of Happiness, Finding the King, Harbin, and more.
Kim Moo Yeol will give life to the character named Lee Sang Bong. He is a lawyer who will be the legal representative of Kim Kook Ho. Aside from Open Murder Contract, Kim Moo Yeol will also join the new K-dramas High Cookie. Sweet Home Season 2, and Queen Woo.
Lastly, Lee Kwang Soo will be Yoon Chang Jae in the K-drama. He is a butcher who wants to get back his missing money. This is the first confirmed upcoming K-drama of Lee Kwang Soo. The actor is set to lead the upcoming movie Gwanghwamun Jealousy Fight directed by Lee Won Shik (A Boy's Sister).
