Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Actress Lee Tae Ran to return to K-dramas with Beneficial Fraud.
It was reported on April 11 that Lee Tae Ran will be making a special appearance in the upcoming tvN K-drama Beneficial Fraud.
Lee Tae Ran's agency STAR PAGE Entertainment confirmed the reports and stated that the actress will be making a cameo as a villain in the upcoming series.
This will be her official comeback to broadcast K-dramas after five years. She was in the last part of the 2018 hit JTBC K-drama SKY Castle as one of the parents named Lee Soo Im.
Lee Tae Ran made her acting debut in 1996. She has been active in both dramas and films. She is known for being part of the K-dramas Love to the End, Wang's Family, Goddess Of Marriage, A Wife’s Credentials, The Empress, Famous Princesses, My Rosy Life, Yellow Handkerchief, and more.
Beneficial Fraud will cover the story of the collaborative scam of two different individuals against evil. One is an unsympathetic fraudster and the other is an emphatic lawyer.
The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Lee Soo Hyun (Sh**ting Stars and Find Me in Your Memory) and the script will be written by Han Woo Joo. The series will be produced by Studio Dragon.
Beneficial Fraud will be led by Chun Woo Hee, Kim Dong Wook, Yoon Park, Lee Yeon, Hong Seung Bum, and Girl's Day Park So Jin.
Lee Tae Ran will play the role of Jang Kyung Ja. She will be a villain in the series and her character will have a conflict with Chun Woo Hee's character Lee Ro Um.
The actress shared her side for her upcoming cameo in the series,
"Jang Kyung Ja is a character that I haven't done before. She has a completely different personality from all the characters that I've done. As this is my first time portraying it, I've been discussing it a lot with the staff about it. I'm grateful to be part of this good work. I also enjoyed filming each scene."
Beneficial Fraud is set to premiere on tvN this coming May 29 at 8:50 PM KST.
