Lee Young Ae is one of the first celebrities to offer donations for the recent crisis that happened in Seoul.
Just this week, the Korean Foundation for Persons with Disabilities shared that top actress Lee Young Ae extended her hand and gave 50 million won (approximately $40,000) to the victims of the recent fire that happened in Seoul. The donations will be given to the people who were recently evacuated from Guryong Village after a great fire broke out.
The fire department revealed on January 20 that over 500 were evacuated after a fire happened in District 4 of the Guryong Village in Gangnam, Seoul. It was also shared that over 60 houses were ruined by the fire and around 50 residents were forced to leave their homes.
Lee Young Ae commented "My heart ached after knowing about the sudden fire that was experienced by the residents of Guryong Village especially those who have lost their homes. I want to be at least of help to those who are suffering.
Korean Foundation for Persons with Disabilities revealed that Lee Young Ae politely requested that the foundation will help any young victims. They also revealed that the donation of the top actress will be of great help for the residents to return to their daily lives.
This is not the first time that Lee Young Ae extended help to victims of disasters and alike. Aside from giving huge amounts, she is almost always the first celebrity to donate when at times like this.
This year, Lee Young Ae is officially returning to the K-drama scene after almost two years. The actress was last seen in the 2021 K-drama "Inspector Koo."
Lee Young Ae will lead the upcoming K-drama "Maestra" and she will work with director Kim Jung Kwon that also helmed the works "Lie After Lie," "Are We In Love?" and "Ditto."
