Based on a webtoon of the same name, Mask Girl tells the story of Kim Mo Mi, an ordinary office worker with appearance complexes, who wears a mask and becomes an internet broadcasting jockey (BJ) at night, leading to unexpected incidents. The series depicts the eventful journey of Kim Mo Mi.

The revealed teaser stills capture the transformation of Kim Mo Mi from an ordinary office worker to the prime suspect in a sensational murder case and her entanglement with Joo Oh Nam and Kim Kyung Ja.

Starring Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, Yeom Hye Ran, Nana, and five hidden rookie actors, Mask Girl promises a surprising transformation and an unpredictable storyline to captivate viewers. Director Kim Yong Hoon emphasized that each episode would showcase a different aspect of the characters, adding an artistic touch to the series.

The role of Kim Mo Mi, the office worker who secretly becomes an internet broadcasting jockey, has drawn much attention, with the actress stating, "Amidst the precarious situations where she steps into the unknown, her true desire to be loved and to love as she is, becomes evident."
The fantasy-like yet realistic concept drew Nana to take on the role of Kim Mo Mi, who gains the appearance she dreamed of after the murder. Nana expressed how she portrayed the character's inner conflicts, who experience moments of thrilling happiness and extreme despair.
Go Hyun Jung portrays Kim Mo Mi, also known as "Mask Girl" or "Prisoner Number 1047," who is accustomed to her life in prison. After reading the script, she felt both "it would be difficult" and "I want to challenge this," ultimately deciding to take on the role. With her incredible acting skills, Go Hyun Jung brings out the emotions of Kim Mo Mi, who seems to abandon everything and pursue a new goal.
Apart from the remarkable performance of Kim Mo Mi's character, other cast members also made a strong impact. Ahn Jae Hong plays Joo Oh Nam, a company employee who watches internet broadcasts after work, presenting a character with dual personalities—one who wishes to erase his existence during the day but desires to reveal his presence in his own world at night.
Yeom Hye Ran portrays Kim Kyung Ja, a mother who dedicates her life to her missing son. Yeom Hye Ran was excited about depicting Kim Kyung Ja's diverse energy and charisma.

The perfect casting of Go Hyun Jung, Nana, and the talented rookie actors, along with the exceptional performances of Ahn Jae Hong and Yeom Hye Ran, promises an engaging and groundbreaking storyline. Mask Girl will be available on Netflix starting from the August 18th.
