MONSTA X's Hyung Won will possibly appear in another K-drama this year.
Hyung Won is already expected to star in the upcoming K-drama Boss-dol Mart. On May 9, media outlet Newsen reported that Hyung Won will also make a special cameo appearance in the soon-to-air K-drama Oh! Youngsimi.
Starship Entertainment, Hyung Won's agency hasn't responded to the casting reports.
Oh! Youngsimi is a K-drama by directors Kim Eun Kyung and Oh Hwan Min, and screenwriter Jeon Seon Young. The story will be adapted from the animated and comic series by Bae Geum Teak.
The story will unfold when Oh Young Shim and Wang Kyung Tae, who grew up as childhood friends, meet again after 20 years.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Song Ha Yoon, Super Junior's Lee Dong Hae, Lee Min Jae, Jung Woo Yeon, Song Young Jae, Wang Ji Hye, and more.
There are no details yet about the character that Hyung Won will possibly play in his cameo appearance.
Oh! Youngsimi will premiere on ENA Channel and Genie TV on May 15 at 10 PM KST. The upcoming K-drama will have a total of 10 episodes.
2023 is a busy year for Hyung Won's career. He is currently the MC for the SBS music program Inkigayo. He is also set o make his first unit debut with MONSTA X's leader Shownu.
He will also join the cast of the upcoming K-drama Boss-dol Mart and will work alongside Lee Shin Young, EXO's Xiumin, Choi Jung Woon, Choi Won Myung, and Lee Sae On.
Hyung Won has starred in several K-dramas such as Fly, Again, Bad Papa, Hit the Top, Please Find Her, and more.
Although Hyung Won has a lot of solo projects, he is still active in all MONSTA X activities.
