The much-awaited C-drama Legend of the Female General dropped a trailer, which promises the drama to be an action spectacle.

Legend of the Female General follows He Yan, the eldest daughter of the He family who, to protect her family's noble title, is forced to wear a mask and pretend to be the family's eldest son, He Ru Fei. Determined to escape her family's fate, she heads to the battlefield. Years later, He Yan returns home in glory but finds herself betrayed by her family when her brother reappears. After surviving a near-fatal incident, He Yan adopts a new identity as the daughter of a city gate officer and disguises herself as a man to enlist in the military at Yezhou, determined to reclaim what rightfully belongs to her.

Zhou Ye plays He Yan, the eldest daughter of the He family, who is forced to wear a mask and disguise herself as the eldest son, He Ru Fei, in order to protect her family's noble title.

Ryan Cheng plays Xiao Jue. The talented Xiao Jue met He Yan at Xianchang Academy when he was young, and they reunite later in Yezhou when He Yan, disguised as a man to enlist in the military, returns. Xiao Jue suspects He Yan of being a spy and constantly puts her to the test. He Yan clings to Xiao Jue for support and proves her abilities by becoming the top soldier in Yezhou's defense force. Together, they face numerous challenges, including the Sun family incident, the Ji Yang Princess affair, and the battle to defend Rundu.

Zhang Kang Le plays Chu Zhao. At 25 years old, Chu Zhao is a promising inspecting officer who respects the current prime minister as his mentor. With his graceful demeanor and refined manners, he appears cultured and polite, but few have glimpsed his forbearance and calculating side. In the political arena, where undercurrents surge beneath the surface, Chu Zhao skillfully navigates between two opposing factions. He applies the same tactics of leveraging power and influence to win over He Yan, the woman he admires.

Zhang Miao Yi plays Song Tao Tao. 20-year-old Song Tao Tao comes from a family of doctors. She is known for her straightforward and lively personality. Fearless in love and hate, she is deeply fascinated by the study of poisons and is determined to compile a medical book titled "The Compendium of Poisons", that would be handed down from generation to generation. She had always disliked Cheng Li (Marcus Li) and was resolute in her decision to break off their engagement. However, as the moment approaches, she finds herself unexpectedly filled with regret.

Marcus Li plays Cheng Li Su. 23-year-old Cheng Li Su is exceptionally talented and skilled in medicine, having studied under the chief physician of the Imperial Hospital. Although he appears somewhat aloof, he is decisive in critical situations and knows how to adapt in times of crisis. He occasionally offers advice on his uncle Xiao Jue's personal matters, but when it comes to himself, he remains oblivious and has yet to realize that he has fallen for Song Tao Tao.

Bai Shu plays He Ru Fei, the eldest son of the He family and He Yan's older brother. Unwilling to be confined to a life of mediocrity, he makes a deal with Prime Minister Xu Jing Fu to orchestrate He Yan's death and usurp her identity, transforming himself into General Fei Hong. However, he is blindsided when He Yan survives, and now fearing that his plot will be exposed, his murderous intentions resurface.

Legend of the Female General will be released sometime in 2025. The C-drama will be available to stream on WeTV. Watch the teaser here
