Amid the excitement for the release of My Dearest Part 2, the production team is stirring interest by teasing fans with new stills, featuring Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin.
In Part 1 of My Dearest, Lee Jang Hyun was introduced as a character with intellect, good looks, a hidden powerful backstory, and not to forget, a pure heart loving only one woman. His willingness to risk his life several times to save Yoo Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin) deeply moved the hearts of many.
Through the new stills, the production team offered a sneak peek of Lee Jang Hyun's transformation into a captor in Part 2. In Part 1's conclusion, viewers caught a glimpse of Lee Jang Hyun tracking down Joseon prisoners on the run, after a heart-wrenching farewell with Yoo Gil Chae. His new look and the introduction of the mysterious new character (played by Lee Chung Ah) intrigues fans.
In the stills, Lee Jang Hyun is in the expansive grasslands, wearing an intense and sharp gaze as if intently focused on something. As he draws the bow, his charismatic presence shines. Perhaps this change in his demeanor is a reflection of the emptiness and sadness following his heart-wrenching separation from the woman he loved enough to sacrifice everything for - Yoo Gil Chae.
Why did Lee Jang Hyun become a captor? In what ways has he changed after parting ways with Yoo Gil Chae? What events will unfold until Lee Jang Hyun and Yoo Gil Chae have a tearful reunion?
Another set of stills captures the transformation of Gil Chae. Interestingly, she is seen wearing Qing Dynasty attire for reasons yet undisclosed. Her once vibrant and bubbly demeanor disappeared, and she has now turned into a pale and fragile Gil Chae, evoking a sense of sympathy.
But most notably, the scar on her forehead piques curiosity. Jong Yi (Park Jeong Yeon), who had always been by Gil Chae's side, is also seen wearing Qing Dynasty attire. Jong Yi's concerned expression as she gently touches Gil Chae's scar adds to the sense of unease.
