SBS's new drama National Death Penalty Vote, set to premiere on August 10th, is a citizen-participation courtroom series that dives into the pursuit of an unknown group executing death penalties through a national vote, targeting heinous criminals. With its thrilling and hard-boiled investigative thriller genre, the drama has garnered significant attention as it is presented by the SBS network.

The script reading event for National Death Penalty Vote unveiled its energetic debut on the 29th and has been released to the public. Director Park Shin Woo, writer Jo Yoon Young, and the production team were present, along with the main cast, including Park Hae Jin, Park Sung Woong, Im Ji Yeon, Shin Jung Geun, Kim Yoo Mi, Kim Kwon, and Choi Yoo Hwa, who illuminated the scene. It is reported that each actor's passion and energy, fully immersed in their characters, were flawless and made a perfect first impression.

First and foremost, Park Hae Jin's acting transformation stood out. Park Hae Jin portrays the role of Kim Moo Chan, the team leader of the 1st Special Investigation Division of the Southern Police Agency. Park Hae-jin expressed the dynamism and depth of the character Kim Moo Chan with his powerful concentration and energy. Perfectly depicting Kim Moo Chan with facial expressions, speech, and even eye contact, Park Hae Jin's transformation, completely different from his previous image, drew admiration from the staff.

Park Sung Woong's formidable presence was also impressive. Playing Kwon Seok Joo, Park Sung Woong, the most prominent legal scholar in South Korea, portrays a person who directly murdered the perpetrator of his 8-year-old daughter's sexual assault and is currently serving a long-term sentence in prison. With an unwavering gaze and a deep, resonant voice, Park Sung Woong portrayed the multidimensional character Kwon Seok Joo, who seems intentionally hide his emotions while standing on the boundary between good and evil. Particularly, his instant immersion into the character solidified why Park Sung Woong is a trusted actor and raised expectations for the drama.

Im Ji Yeon, who promised a radical transformation, also heightened expectations. Im Ji Yeon takes on the role of Joo Hyun, a 5th-year police officer in the Cyber Safety Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Joo Hyun, once an ace in the Cyber Investigation Team, now finds herself as a mischievous troublemaker, subject to ridicule. Im Ji-hyun's portrayal of the witty and spirited character Joo Hyun, who tirelessly pursues case resolutions, showcased her own energy and chemistry, enhancing the immersion. With her versatile acting skills, Im Ji Yeon's participation in National Death Penalty Vote raises anticipation for her remarkable transformation.

In addition, other actors known for their distinct colors and powerful acting skills, such as Kim Yoo Mi, Shin Jung Geun, Kim Kwon, Choi Yoo Hwa, Seo Young Joo, and Kwon Ah Reum also joined, adding solidity to 'National Death Penalty Vote.' The actors immersed themselves in their characters throughout the script reading, creating a passionate atmosphere that felt like a real-life scene. The production team also dedicated detailed efforts to deliver a high-quality production. Thanks to the exceptional passion shown by the actors and the production team, anticipation for the National Death Penalty Vote broadcast has skyrocketed.
