Netflix's variety show Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground has revealed its 100 participants.

Physical: 100 is a Korean survival game show where 100 individuals, irrespective of age, weight, gender, or nationality, boasting the strongest physique compete to find the best body.

Adding fuel to the excitement of the global fans for the return of the show, Netflix revealed the 100 participants.

Against the backdrop of an underground mine, where boundaries between sacrifice and desire, cooperation and competition blur, Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground features even more diverse and strong participants. 

The announcement of the Korean UFC fighter Kim Dong Hyun, the judo national team gold medalist Lee Won Hee, and wrestling national team gold medalist Jung Ji Hyun joining the show garnered immense attention. 

Moreover, it is said that former and current national team athletes comprise a staggering 30% of the participants.

Also joining the show are Korea's first speed skating gold medalist Mo Tae Bum, South Korean rugby sevens player Jin Andre, national team swimmer Jung You In, former rhythmic gymnast and bowler Shin Soo Ji, and handball player Park Ha Yan.  

The lineup extends to include diverse professionals such as actor Lee Jae Yoon, K-pop idol Lee Jang Jun of boyband Golden Child, an FBI diplomat, a police officer, a soldier, martial artists, and an arborist. Additionally, the inclusion of Hong Beom Seok, Asia's first winner of the World Firefighter Games, who is competing again following Season 1, fuels anticipation.

Producer Jang Ho Gi added to the excitement, stating, "Many former and current national team athletes who watched Season 1 with interest are participating. ... So there was a lot more tension, and there was intense competition among the contestants from the moment they first met each other."

Writer Kang Sook Kyung previewed the intensified and diversified physical competition, stating, "There are [various kinds of] participants [including those] who exercise for 10 hours a day to push their physical limits, who have trained themselves by climbing tall trees for work or climbing the top of a mountain carrying load several times a day, and people who built their bodies to cosplay their favorite characters. Each of the 100 contestants has a unique story and confidence in their bodies."
