Park Gyu Young Threatens to Expose the Secrets of the "Celebrity" World

The global OTT platform Netflix released the official trailer for its original series Celebrity. 

Celebrity tells the story of an ordinary woman Seo Ah Ri who rose to fame overnight. But what's shocking is the influencer with 1.3 million fans is known to be dead. 

Who is the woman going live stream, and how did she gain such a huge following? Follow Ah Ri as she tries to uncover the barbarous world of celebrities and the mystery behind the murder. 

The trailer commences with Seo Ah Ri's (Park Gyu Young) bold confession, " I started this live stream to get famous". 

The following scenes then portray Ah Ri's ordinary life as an office worker before she rose to fame, and juxtapose them with her celebrity life. A voice in the background questions, "How did a lowlife like Seo Ah Ri become a celebrity?". 

Though Ah Ri seems amateurish as she is not used to the glitz and glamour of the limelight, she quickly adapts to her new world. And when an influencer ridicules her saying, "Do you think a bottom-feeder like you is something else now?", Ah Ri snaps back undauntedly asking a rhetorical question, "Am I not?". 

The pushover ordinary woman who anyone rarely knew, now stands amidst the clicking cameras. Ah Ri's reach even impresses Yoon Shi Hyun (Lee Chung Ah), the daughter of a prominent politician and a director of a cultural foundation, who asks her, Would you mind if I followed you?". 

But, despite enjoying the perks of being a celebrity, Ah Ri isn't free from suspicions. Her sudden rise to fame has many people questioning, including the owner of Taekang Law Firm and Yoon Shi Hyun's husband, Jin Tae Jeon (Lee Dong Gun), who says, "Who knows what's she's doing behind our backs?". And in a dramatic scene, Ah Ri is even slapped on her face at a party. 

The trailer then shows the novice celebrity turning the tide, threatening all her fellow influencers with deadly secrets they don't want out in the public.

What follows are glimpses of influencers and celebrities, who surround Seo Ah Ri, plotting to pull her down at any cost. But Ah Ri is not willing to give in to the powerful and will not stop until she exposes what goes on behind the scenes of the influencer world.
