Park Hae Jin's upcoming drama "Showtime Begins!" to premiere this April!

The upcoming MBC drama "Showtime Begins!" will officially premiere next month!

On March 30th MBC dropped the official main poster of the upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama "Showtime Begins!" Through this, it also got confirmed that the drama will premiere on April 23rd.

"Showtime Begins!" is a fantasy romance drama that will be directed by Lee Hyung Min ("Strong Woman Do Bong Soon") and written by Ha Yoon Ah ("Mystic Pop-Up Bar").  The drama will revolve around the TV magician named Cha Cha Woong who's popular for his amazing tricks. The thing that his audience didn't know is that he has secret helpers and they are ghosts who he considers his employees. 

The upcoming drama will be led by Park Hae Jin, Jin Ki Joo, Go Gyu Pil, Jung Joon Ho, Kim Hee Jae, Jung Suk Yong, and more. 

Park Hae Jin will play the lead role named Cha Cha Woong, a popular TV magician. He will fall in love with Jin Ki Joo's character named Go Seul Hae, a hardworking policewoman who can see ghosts. 

"Showtime Begins!" will exclusively air on MBC on April 23rd at 8:40 PM KST. The drama will also be available for global viewing through the OTT streaming platform, Viu.

The upcoming MBC drama will be the first project of Park Hae Jin for 2022. This will also be his return to MBC after two years. In 2020, Park Hae Jin got his first Daesang (Grand Prize) in MBC Drama Awards through the series "Kkondae Intern" with Kim Eung Soo, Han Ji Eun, Park Ki Woong, Park Ah In, and Noh Jong Hyun.

Meanwhile, this will also be Jin Ki Joo's comeback to the small screen after two years. She last starred in the 2020 drama "Homemade Love Story" with Lee Jang Woo.
