On December 14, Gyeongseong Creature unveiled character posters capturing characters enjoying fleeting moments of joy amidst difficult times, and those filled with greed and hiding big secrets.

The posters feature the characters living in the tumultuous time of 1945.

Jang Tae Sang (Park Seo Joon), the number one source of information and the owner of the best pawnshop, Geum Ok Dang, in Gyeongseong, exudes the commanding aura with a spirited expression, giving an image of a savvy businessman.

Yun Chae Ok (Han So Hee), a woman who is rumored to have excellent skills in finding missing people, showcases a strong presence while wearing a cheerful smile.

Against the backdrop of the retro setting of Geum Ok Dang, Na Wol Daek (Kim Hae Sook) and Gu Gab Pyeong (Park Ji Hwan) wear bright smiles, hinting at the close bond they share with Jang Tae Sang, whereas Yoon Jong Won (Jo Han Chul), Chae Ok's father, wears a serious expression hinting at his unwavering determination to find his missing wife.

The juxtaposition of the smiles of the characters against the torn, bloodied sections of the posters foretells the harsh struggles for survival stained by greed in the spring of 1945.

In contrast to the warm ambience of the previous posters, the poster featuring Yukiko Maeda (Kim Su Hyun), Lieutenant General Gato (Choi Young Joon), and Ichiro (Hyun Bong Sik) gives an eerie vibe. Standing in Ongseong Hospital, the trio wear sinister smiles, sparking curiosity about the earth-shattering secret they hide.

Director Jung Dong Yoon expressed that he intended to show the warmth and little joys of the characters even amid difficult times. Furthermore, he sought to emphasize that more horrifying things lurk behind the glamour.

Writer Kang Eun Kyung introduced the drama as "a story about young people struggling for survival."

Part 1 of Gyeongseong Creature will be released on December 22, and Part 2 on January 5. The K-drama will stream exclusively on Netflix.
