The upcoming SBS Friday-Saturday drama 7 Escape has confirmed its release slot to be September. Moreover, the production team released behind-the-scenes photos from the script reading session on August 16th.

7 Escape is a revenge drama centered around seven people entangled in the disappearance of a girl, intertwined with numerous lies and desires. Screenwriter Kim Soon Ok, known for the hit dramas The Last Empress and The Penthouse: War in Life series along with director Joo Dong Min, are expected to bring another sensational series. 

The script reading event was attended by the stellar ensemble, including writer Kim Soon Ok and Joo Dong Min, alongside esteemed actors Uhm Ki JoonHwang Jung EumLee JoonLee Yoo BiShin Eun KyungYoon Jong HoonJo Yoon HeeJo Jae Yoon, and Lee Deok Hwa, who delivered spirited performances. Their synergy and portrayal of the seven villains striving to escape from the punishment of their own making showcased their acting prowess.

Following the sensational series Penthouse, actor Um Ki Joon comes as Matthew Lee, the head of a leading South Korean mobile platform company. Um Ki Joon masterfully captures the mysterious aspects and charisma of Matthew Lee, whose identity is shrouded in mystery, thus intensifying the suspense.

Hwang Jung Eum's dramatic transformation is also a highlight. She plays the role of a drama production company CEO, Geum Ra Hee. Geum Ra Hee values money and success above all else and goes to great lengths for a vast inheritance, which she can come into if she finds her daughter whom she abandoned 15 years ago. Hwang Jung Eum's portrayal of the multifaceted nature of Geum Ra Hee, hidden beneath a lovely smile is expected to captivate the audience. 

The riveting presence of Shin Eun Kyung left an indelible impression. She portrays the obstetrician and gynecologist Cha Joo Ran, who keeps everyone on edge with her unpredictable moves. Even amid the twists and turns, her unique and lighthearted acting adds a layer of humor and sophistication. 

Lee Yoo Bi plays Han Mo Ne, a rich girl, who always lies, aspiring to become an idol. Lee Joon plays Min Do Hyuk Yoon, who was once a gangster. 

Jong Hoon, as Yang Jin Mo, the head of the entertainment agency Cherry Entertainment and a master strategist, leaves a striking impression. 

Jo Yoon Hee, who announced her drama comeback after about three years, brilliantly showcases her prowess as she transforms into Go Myung Ji, an art teacher who lies in order to not reveal her flaws. 

Additionally, Jo Jae Yoon as Detective Chief Nam Chul Woo, Lee Deok Hwa as wealthy building owner Bang Chil Sung, and Yoon Tae Young as Taebaek Entertainment CEO Kang Ki Tak, who is kept in check by Yang Jin Mo, all showcased their talents. 

The synergy between these actors, who brilliantly bring to life a group of extraordinary villains, tantalizingly whets the viewers' anticipation for the upcoming series.

7 Escape is slated to grace screens in September. The release date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned!
