Premiere reminder: Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol (2020)

Hello, dear MDL readers!

This time I chose to draw out from the end of the summer, a light-hearted story with a musical approach, that will make you laugh rolling around the floor and cry a liter of tears of happiness until autumn will fully set in this October!

So, just dive in, and let's enjoy this ride together!

Fair Warning:

This article contains spoilers about the story, cast, teasers, trailers, or any other information known to the large public. Note: It can also be easily read in dark mode.

Airs On: Wednesday & Thursday |  Country: South Korea |  Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes)

This is the story of a young and preeminent female pianist, named Goo Ra Ra. Her life seemed to be going smoothly having a bright future ahead, but none could have known that one day her family would suffer an unforeseen bankruptcy. After that, she somehow arrives at a piano academy called La La Land, which is located in the center of a small village. When she least expected, love came her way, in the form of a young man, Sun Woo Joon, a cold man, who does not care even one inch about how others perceive him, due to the fact he wants to stay hidden, by locking his dark secrets far, far away from the eyes of curious people. But Ra Ra is not the type of person to easily walk away from something; on the contrary, she would be the first one to jump in front of danger! Being in love head over heels with Woo Joon, she feels more determined than ever to break down his defensive walls and to finally find out more about him and his past.

Go Ah Ra as Goo Ra Ra

Beware, it's raining cats and dogs here. Meet, cutie pie, Mimi!

Meow! Ham! Ham!

Goo Ra Ra is a mischievous and playful person by nature, who adores playing the piano, in almost any circumstance, be it a good one or not, since she always has a bright smile on her face, despite being penniless, after a certain incident. She's also quite simple and honest, but even when she's angry about something she tends to act in a funny way. Her optimism makes everyone around her laugh wholeheartedly, because as she walks everywhere with her loyal companion, the dog Mimi, she spreads a bright, warm light, like the morning sunshine. Her powerful energy and positive attitude will keep her in a continuous challenge with herself, because oftentimes she acts quite recklessly, mostly without thinking much of the disastrous aftermath it could happen.

(Side note: Oddly enough, this character seems to remind me of Disney's American musical movie titled Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure (2011). Coincidence? I think not!)

Lee Jae Wook as Sun Woo Joon

"Stop. You look possessed."

Sun Woo Joon is a very mysterious man, who has many secrets hidden behind a cold and blunt attitude, but with a very tender heart on the inside. Having to carry some painful thorns from a sad past incident, he is vigilant when someone tries to pry in and uncover his buried sorrows. However, one day everything started to change when fate brought on his alley, a former female pianist, named Go Ra Ra. Unfortunately, though they are both tied together by debt, and Woo Joon will soon realize it's quite troublesome taking care of this cute, but a little wacky, Ra Ra who has some odd temperamental antics, that only him seems to able coping up with her. Will these strange situations be able to draw them closer together, in time? And will Ra Ra be able to make him open up his soul?

If yes, why?  If no, then what's your reason?

Feel free to leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments before or after the premiere, now set for the 2nd of September.  However, I need to inform you that the production is temporarily stopped in order to prevent any further infection with COVID-19, so the airing schedule might be pushed back or maybe somehow modified along the way.
