"Queen of Tears" Jeon Bae Soo confirmed for his first ever Disney+ K-drama
World renowned singer/actor Rain in talks to return to dramas after two years!
On February 5th, reports stated that Rain had received an offer to star in the upcoming drama titled "Ghost Doctor." A representative from his agency confirmed the news and stated that Rain is positively considering starring in the upcoming drama.
"Ghost Doctor" is a combination of the medical genre and... ghosts?! The drama will be directed by Boo Sung Chul who also worked on hit dramas such as "The Heirs" and "Jang Ok Jung". The script will be written by Kim Eun Hee who wrote "Live Up to Your Name".
If Rain accepts this role, this will mark his return to dramas since 2019's "Welcome 2 Life" with Im Ji Yeon and Kwak Shi Yang.
Rain revived his career and was considered one of the hottest stars in 2020 after his song "Gang/깡" came back on the music charts in May, and the dance associated with the song also became very popular with the public.
Followed by his appearance on the variety program How Do You Play?, which led to the success of his temporary group named "SSAK3" with Lee Hyo Ri and Yoo Jae Suk. Rain also started an online show together with Lulu Lala production titled "Season B Season" that garners hundreds of thousands of views every upload.
He also ended the year with a collaboration track "Switch To Me" with his former boss Park Jin Young, JYP Entertainment's CEO. The track is loved by many and even topped music show broadcasts. He also hinted that in 2021 he plans on collaborating with another singer to release a new track.
"Ghost Doctor" is scheduled to air in MBC sometime in the second half of 2021.
