Hi. I wanted to talk once again about Revolutionary Love, a Korean drama that aired on tvN at the end of last year.
It took me a lot of time to start watching this drama. I really like Siwon, not only because he is a member of Super Junior, but also because he's a great actor (did you watch She Was Pretty? AMAZING). So it was really difficult for me to believe that this drama was bad.
The rating on MDL is only 7.5 which isn't bad, but.. it could be better. For me, it should have at least 8.0.
Here's why:
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS...
Story
I know, the plot isn't the best. Dialogues are... average. I was annoyed a lot of times about it. The writer of this story wasn't really talented, I have to agree with it. But!! She had an idea! Which is more important.
I don't want to talk about the story here, because with this article I want to encourage more people to watch it. But the thing is.. this story tells us a lot of things, for example, the importance of workers' rights. But we have to see it! This drama doesn't literally tell us what she wants to show. Unfortunately, a lot of people didn't watch it till the end or didn't see it because RL has many disadvantages...
Personally, I learned a lot by watching it for 16 hours in 2 days.
Acting
I have to tell you this if the script is really bad, actors need to be really good to play well. Even if the story wasn't shown perfectly, actors gave their all. Siwon had a really difficult time while making this drama but he didn't give up. I didn't see Kang Sora in many dramas so I can't really tell but her acting was impressive. We should appreciate their hard work!
Immortal trio
I think you should watch Revolutionary Love because of these three people. Love and friendship, work and private life, happiness and sadness. You can see it all here, thanks to these actors. As far as I can remember, I think I cried because of Kwon Jehoon character (played by Gong Myung). I have to see these actors more because who cares about the script, they made the story with their acting!
Finally, I want to say...
I know, this drama isn't new. But many people watch dramas from 2013 or 2015... Please, if you have a free weekend, try watching Revolutionary Love and understand it.
