"Extraordinary Attorney Woo" Actress Joo Hyun Young Cast in Don Lee-Produced Movie
tvN's upcoming drama Twinkling Watermelon released its first teaser on August 22nd.
Twinkling Watermelon tells the story of a young boy who is a CODA (child of deaf adults) and has a natural talent for music. He slips to the year 1995 and forms a band with his father (Choi Hyun Wook), who is a teenager at that time.
Ryeoun takes on the role of Eun Gyeol, a CODA boy with musical talent, while Choi Hyun Wook portrays his father (teenage) Lee Chan. Seol In Ah plays Se Kyeong, a muse everyone loves, and Shin Eun Soo plays Cheong Ah, a cold-hearted girl.
The teaser reveals Eun Gyeol's struggles after he gets transported to 1995 on a day when two moons appear. Looking at the words "April 1995" in a newspaper and the unfamiliar place he is in, Eun Gyeol's bewildered eyes show his confusion. His father, Lee Chan, who was a high school student at that time, suddenly appears before him, causing more shock. In 1995, unaware that Eun Gyeol is his future son, Lee Chan considers it strange when Eun Gyeol calls him "Dad". Lee Chan grabs Eun Gyeol by the collar and asks, "Who are you, really?".
Eun Gyeol, in a fierce fight with his father from 1995, also wants to return to the future. He sets out to find a way to go back, saying, "There must be a way". The question arises about the reason for his unexpected arrival in 1995 and whether Eun Gyeol can return to his time.
Twinkling Watermelon is helmed by Son Jung Hyun. Jin Soo Wan is the drama's screenwriter.
Twinkling Watermelon will premiere on September 25th, and will air episodes every Monday and Tuesday, taking over the time slot of My Lovely Liar.
