Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Seol In Ah and Shin Eun Soo will reportedly join the upcoming K-drama Sparkling Watermelon.
Several media outlets shared on February 21 that Seol In Ah and Shin Eun Soo will be joining Ryeoun and Choi Hyun Wook in the upcoming romance fantasy K-drama.
Seol In Ah's agency Gold Medalist responded to the casting news. The agency shared, Seol In Ah is positively reviewing her appearance in the upcoming K-drama.
Meanwhile, Shin Eun Soo's side has no comment on the casting reports yet.
Sparkling Watermelon will tell the story of a boy who lives a double life by being a model student and also a band member. Through a time slip, he will meet his 18-year-old father, and there, the two will build a friendship.
The upcoming fantasy K-drama will be directed by Son Jung Hyun (Mental Coach Jegal and Should We Kiss First? ) and written by Jin Soo Wan (Chicago Typewriter, Kill Me, Heal Me, and Moon Embracing the Sun. Aside from the young cast, actor Yoo Joon Sang will also join the upcoming series.
Sparkling Watermelon will be produced by Fan Entertainment. There are no official details yet on when and where will the drama be broadcasted.
Before Seol In Ah stars in Sparkling Watermelon, she will first lead the upcoming K-drama Oasis together with Jang Dong Yoon, Choo Young Woo, Do Sang Woo, Hyun Seung Hee, and Park Noh Shik. The actress will also join the upcoming movie When Our Love Remains As Scent.
2022 was a great year for Seol In Ah as she gained more popularity after starring in the hit K-drama A Business Proposal. She was praised for her great chemistry with and Kim Min Gue and Kim Se Jeong.
Meanwhile, this will be the first K-drama project of Shin Eun Soo for 2023. She will also star in the upcoming movie Taste of Horror with Park So Yi, Yoo Da In, Yoon Hyun Min, Jang Gwang, Lee Joo Young, Kim Joo Ryoung, and more.
Shin Eun Soo was last seen in the 2022 K-drama Summer Strike led by AOA's Kim Seol Hyun and ZE: A's Yim Si Wan.
