The upcoming K-movie Target weaves a suspenseful thriller that delves into the strange events that unfold in the ordinary life of Soo Hyun, who unwittingly becomes a target of crime after buying a second-hand washing machine.
The recently-released trailer portrays Soo Hyun (Shin Hye Sun) being pursued by a tenacious criminal, and the detectives, all in a relentless quest, strive to catch him.
After having exposed the swindler on an online second-hand goods site, Soo Hyun finds herself caught in a web of danger, subsequently receiving a warning message from him. As the criminal starts closing in, she finds herself under threat, her every move surveilled.
Meanwhile, Detective Joo (Kim Sung Kyun), stumbling upon a dead body at the residence of an online seller while tracing the criminal's footsteps, senses an impending tragedy and teams up with Detective Na (Kang Tae Oh) to launch a comprehensive inquiry.
The title cards read, "Trading with a murderer; you could be the next target".
The trailer heads towards the conclusion with scenes portraying Soo Hyun facing life-threatening circumstances, the detectives closing up on the criminal's tracks, and the mysterious criminal coming after Soo Hyun relentlessly.
A few stills, featuring Shin Hye Sun and Kim Sung Kyun were also released.
The first still cut shows Soo Hyun sitting in what looks like her workplace. She wears simple clothes, her table is scattered with various essential office items, and her sideboard contains numerous charts and papers.
The second still shows her standing at the threshold of her bathroom. The mirror beside her reflects her startled face.
The next still shows her confronting someone. She is seen worried and scared of the one she stands facing.
The last still shows Detective Joo opening a refrigerator in a room, which, hinted by the trailer, is a crime scene.
