"SHINee's Choi Min Ho, ASTRO's Yoon San Ha, and Son Na Eun Team Up for New JTBC K-Drama
Song Ji Hyo is finally returning to the big screen!
On November 29, it was officially confirmed that Song Ji Hyo is returning to acting with the upcoming film The Home We Meet (working title). Song Ji Hyo's current agency NEXUS E&M announced that Song Ji Hyo will be starring in the new film.
The Home We Meet (working title) will revolve around a female prison guard meeting the daughter of the prisoner she is in charge of.
The upcoming movie will be helmed by director Cha Jung Yoon. This will be her directorial debut.
In the film, Song Ji Hyo will portray the role of Caesar, the female prison guard. There are no reports yet on which actors will work with Song Ji Hyo in the upcoming movie.
The Home We Meet will reportedly begin filming starting on January 2024. The release date is still undecided.
The Home We Meet will be Song Ji Hyo's return to the big screen after four years. She last starred in the thriller mystery film Intruder with Kim Mu Yeol, Ye Soo Jung, Choi Sang Hoon, Park Min Ha, and Heo Jun Seok.
This will also be her comeback to acting after three years. She was last seen in the hit TVING K-drama The Witch's Diner with Nam Ji Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Ha Do Gwon, Yoon Da Young, and So Hee Jung. Song Ji Hyo also made a special appearance in the 2022 K-drama Sh**ting Stars.
This year, Song Ji Hyo experienced a roller coaster of emotions because of her former agency. She battled against her former agency which did not pay for her advertisements fee as well as their employees. In October, Song Ji Hyo finally found a new home as she signed with NEXUS E&M.
Song Ji Hyo is continuously appearing as a regular member of the long-running variety show Running Man.
