The webtoon "Strangers from Hell"that was adapted into a K-drama (starring Yim Si WanLee Dong WookLee Jung Eun, and Ahn Eun Jin), will now be re-adapted as a movie in Japan. 

According to the Japanese webcomic platform under Naver's umbrella, Line Manga, the webtoon "Strangers from Hell" will be released as a movie in Japan on November 15. The webtoon started serialization in Japan through Line in August 2018 and has accumulated 7,000 views as of August 2024.

The director of the Japanese movie Strangers from Hell is Kodama Watto.

The movie tells the story of a young man, Yu, who moves into a cheap boarding house, where he experiences eerie incidents.

The role played by Korean actor Yim Si Wan will be taken by Hachimura Rintaro, and the role performed by Lee Dong Wook will be played by Yanagi ShuntaroOther renowned Japanese actors such as Okada YuiMiura Kento, Aoki Sayaka, and Hagiwara Masato are also set to appear. 

The webtoon started on Naver Challenge Comics in October 2017 and was officially turned into a series in March 2018. After a hiatus of seven months, it concluded in November 2019 and has been translated into eight languages worldwide, garnering around 980 million views.
