Yoo Jae Myung to meet Kim Soo Hyun in a new Disney+ K-drama
Upcoming Genie TV K-drama Oh! Youngsimi to officially air this May!
On April 18, Genie TV shared photos of the script reading of the upcoming K-drama Oh! Youngsimi. It featured main leads Super Junior's Lee Dong Hae and Song Ha Yoon, and supporting leads Lee Min Jae and Jung Woo Yeon.
It was also officially confirmed that Oh! Youngsimi will premiere on May 15th.
The upcoming series will be the next project of directors Kim Eun Kyung, Oh Hwan Min, and writer Jeon Seon Young.
Oh! Youngsimi will have a total of 10 episodes which will premiere on Genie TV and ENA. It will be released every Monday and Tuesday, at 10 PM KST.
Oh! Youngsimi will base its characters on the popular animation series Youngshim. It will tell the romantic story of Young Shim and Kyung Tae who meets again after 20 years. They were childhood friends and now they will meet again as adults.
Lee Dong Hae will play the role of Wang Kyung Tae, a childhood friend of Young Shim. When he was little, they moved to the United States. Now that he is an adult, he became the CEO of a famous start-up company.
Song Ha Yoon will portray the role of Oh Young Shim. She does her best to achieve her goal despite different challenges. She is now a TV variety show PD who doesn't have a successful show yet.
Lee Min Jae will bring life to the role of Lee Chae Dong. He is Young Shim's junior who has a crush on her. Jung Woo Yeon on the other hand was cast for the role of Goo Wol Suk. She is also a childhood friend of Young Shim and she works now as a Beauty creator Youtuber.
The production team of the K-drama shared, "It will be a drama where you can reminisce and feel the emotion and fun you felt while watching its original animation. We spent our adolescence together with Young Shim and Kyung Tae. This time, the drama will give you time to look back on the past and present and will give you comfort while the main leads reveal how they work and live their life passionately."
