Jang Dong Yoon offered to star in the Korean remake of French drama "Mantis"
The hit TVING series "The Witch's Diner" is coming to tvN!
On December 10th, there were reports that the hit original series from TVING "The Witch's Diner" is set to be broadcast on the tvN channel due to its popularity and demand of the drama fans to have another season.
tvN responded to the reports and confirmed that "The Witch's Diner" will officially air on their channel starting this January. The drama will premiere after "Melancholia" ends. Although they responded to the reports, they did not say anything yet if they will produce another season of the drama.
"The Witch's Diner" is based on the novel with the same name by Go Sang Hee. The novel won the 'Kyobo Book Center's Novel Contest' in 2015. The drama narrated the stories of desperate people who enter the restaurant and eat the magical dish with the hopes that their wishes will be granted even at the expense of their own souls. The restaurant is created by witch Jo Hee Ra. After an incident, Jung Jin became the co-owner of the restaurant and Lee Gil Yong became the staff of the restaurant.
The drama was directed by So Jae Hyun and Lee Soo Hyun. The script was penned by Lee Young Sook.
The main casts of "The Witch's Diner" were Song Ji Hyo, Nam Ji Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Ha Do Gwon, Yoon Da Young, So Hee Jung, and more. Notable special appearances were Lee Kyu Hyung, Ahn Eun Jin, and Kang Gi Doong.
"The Witch's Diner" first premiered on TVING last July 16 and ended with 8 episodes on August 13.
"The Witch's Diner" is Song Ji Hyo's acting project for 2021. She is currently active on the variety program "Running Man." She also made a special appearance on the spin-off program of "Running Man" titled "Outrun by Running Man" which is only available through Disney+.
After starring in this drama, Nam Ji Hyun is already booked for another upcoming drama which is "Little Women." She will be working with Kim Go Eun and Wi Ha Joon in the drama.
Chae Jong Hyeop is also booked for another series for 2022. He will be starring in the upcoming series "Going to You at a Speed of 493 km" with Park Joo Hyun, Kwon So Hyun, Seo Ji Hye, and more.
