Park Ji Hoon in talks to star in the upcoming film "The Man Who Lives with the King"
Uhm Ji Won is in discussion to lead a new weekend K-drama that will premiere on KBS.
On October 11, media outlets reported that Uhm Ji Won has been picked to be the main lead of the upcoming K-drama Please Take Care of Five Eagle Brothers (literal translation). The series will premiere on KBS and it will be part of their weekend K-drama timeslot.
Uhm Ji Won's agency confirmed the reports that the actress received the offer. CJES Studio shared, "Uhm Ji Won is positively considering the offer to lead the new KBS K-drama."
Please Take Care of Five Eagle Brothers will showcase the story of a woman who suddenly became the head of the family after her husband died. After only ten days of marriage, the wife unexpectedly found herself loaded with the responsibility of taking care of her late husband's five brothers.
Uhm Ji Won got the offer to portray the role of Ma Kwang Sook. She is a 45-year-old woman who works as a post office employee in the series. She is the eldest sister-in-law of the Eagle brothers.
KBS weekend K-dramas have been suffering from ratings in recent years and many are wondering if Please Take Care of Five Eagle Brothers will be the one to revive the ratings of weekend dramas.
There is no official confirmation yet on the release date of the series.
If Uhm Ji Won confirms her casting, this will be her third upcoming K-drama. The actress will also star in Hong Rang and The Cursed Season 2.
She last appeared in the 2023 K-drama Cold Blooded Intern with Ra Mi Ran, Kim In Kwon, Lee Jong Hyuk, Kim Min Seo, and Kim Won Hae.
