The upcoming disaster thriller movie Project Silence is confirmed to be released in Korean theaters starting next month.
On June 14, it was officially confirmed that the upcoming film Project Silence starring Lee Sun Kyun, Kim Soo An, Ju Ji Hoon, Kim Hee Won, Moon Sung Geun, Ye Soo Jung, and Park Hee Bon will finally be available in Korean theaters nationwide starting on July 12.
Project Silence will revolve around the people who are struggling to survive from uncontrollable military experimental dogs. The dogs are released on the airport bridge that is on the verge of collapsing while there's also an indistinguishable thick fog.
The upcoming film is the latest work of director Kim Tae Gon (Familyhood) and writers Kim Yong Hwa (Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds, The Moon, and Ashfall) and Park Joo Seok (Train to Busan).
The film was screened at the Midnight Screening section in the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2023.
Project Silence will be distributed by CJ ENM.
Lee Sun Kyun will portray the role of Jung Won. He is an administrator of the Security Office. He drives her daughter to the airport to send her off.
Kim Soo An on the other hand will portray the role of Kyung Min. She is the daughter of Jung Won who is set to study abroad.
Ju Ji Hoon will play the character named Jo Bak. He is a tow truck driver who encounters Jung Won and Kyung Min through the accidents on the airport bridge.
Meanwhile, Kim Hee Won will portray the role of Dr. Yang. He is the senior researcher who thoroughly knows about the "Project Silence" and joins Jung Won, Jo Bak, and Kyung Min as they try to survive the disaster.
