Mr. Plankton will officially premiere in November.
On October 14, Netflix released the official poster and teaser for the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama Mr. Plankton.
Mr. Plankton will depict the story of people who can't associate and blend with anyone just like a plankton. It will focus on a man who was born by a mistake and a woman who considers herself the unluckiest woman in the world.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Woo Do Hwan, Lee You Mi, Oh Jung Se, Kim Hae Sook, Kim Min Seok, and Lee El.
The series will be the collaboration work of director Hong Jong Chan (Juvenile Justice and Dear My Friends) and screenwriter Jo Yong (It's Okay to Not Be Okay).
Mr. Plankton will be available on Netflix worldwide on November 8. The K-drama will have a total of 10 episodes.
In the released teaser clip, the story unfolds as Hae Jo inquires about his recent brain tumor diagnosis. Meanwhile, Jae Mi (played by Lee You Mi) is also shown finding out the news of her premature menopause diagnosis, which she received prior to her marriage.
On Jae Mi's wedding day, Hae Jo unexpectedly appeared before her, urging her to escape and stop the marriage. As they were talking, Jae Mi's fiancé, entered the scene.
Hae Jo's final words in the trailer were, "Life is so fun and chaotic at the end, it makes you hold on."
Hae Jo will be portrayed by Woo Do Hwan. Nobody loves him including himself. he also doesn't know who is his real father. After finding out about his terminal illness, he decided to look for his father.
Lee You Mi will give life to the character named Jae Mi. She always wanted to create a family for herself. She is set to marry Eo Heung, played by Oh Jung Se. Before she got married, she was informed that she was having premature menopause.
Lastly, Oh Jung Se will portray the role of Eo Hung, the successor of the Eo Family who runs a food company. His family disliked Jae Mi but finally accepted her after knowing that she was pregnant.
