On July 11, tvN released the details of the interview held with Yoo In Soo, who is a part of the cast of the highly-anticipated drama The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch.

Directed by Yoo Seon Dong, and with the screenplay written by Kim Sae BomThe Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch continues the thrilling adventure of the Counters (demon hunters), who have grown stronger with upgraded powers and the addition of a rookie counter. Together, they take on the growing evil forces that threaten humanity. 

Actor Yoo In Soo plays the role of Na Jeok Bong, a rookie Counter who joins the team upon the recommendation of Ga Mo Tak (Yoo Joon Sang). The drama marks a new chapter in Yoo In Soo's acting career, as he aims to take on a distinct character, unique from his previous roles. 

By delivering excellent performances in dramas like School 2017,  Alchemy of Souls, and The Good Bad Mother, Yoo In Soo has garnered considerable attention. Reflecting on his decision to join the series, Yoo In Soo shared, "As I watched Season 1, I couldn't help but think, 'I want to be a part of this'. I was ecstatic when Season 2's casting was confirmed, to the point where I rewatched Season 1. I joined Season 2 thanks to enthusiastic recommendations from those around me who said it was a great production".

Furthermore, the actor revealed his mindset while preparing for the role, stating, "Rewatching Season 1 filled me with anticipation and the expectation of being able to contribute to a drama I cherished. However, as soon as the rewatch ended, I was filled with concerns such as, 'Will I be able to blend in?' Despite this, I approached the role with the mindset of not trying to be anyone but my true self. While I can't deny feeling pressured, I devoted myself to portraying the character sincerely and responsibly".

Moreover, Yoo In Soo will portray a character different from his previous works, going under not only a visual transformation but also adopting a distinct personality. Regarding this, Yoo In Soo commented, "The script was exceptional, providing plenty of hints and answers about the character's transformation. One aspect that required my utmost attention was how to seamlessly blend with the other Counters".

The coming together of Yoo In Soo and the other Counters has garnered significant interest. Expressing his gratitude, Yoo In Soo said, "After the first shoot, my worries turned into joy. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Counters who warmly embraced me as if I were already a part of their team". He added, "Please look forward to our excellent chemistry and teamwork".

In conclusion, Yoo In Soo expressed his deep appreciation for the director, writer, staff, and fellow actors involved in the series. He stated, "It is truly an honor to be able to work alongside such talented individuals. I have worked hard, and I hope my efforts will be a source of joy. I sincerely hope that everyone enjoys The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch and has a great time watching it".

The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch will premiere on July 29 on Netflix.
