MBC's When the Phone Rings has unveiled stills from its script reading session, offering a glimpse into the actors' chemistry.

Set to premiere in November, MBC's When the Phone Rings centers around a couple in their third year of an arranged marriage. Despite being together for three years, the two have neither communicated with each other nor shared a meal. They would have continued living as usual, until their lives were turned upside down by a threatening phone call. 

Yoo Yeon Seok comes as Baek Sa Eon, Chae Soo Bin as Hong Hui Ju, Heo Nam Jun as Ji Sang Woo, Jang Gyu Ri as Na Yu Ri, Han Jae Yi as Hong In Ah, Yoo Sung Joo as Baek Eui Yong, Chu Sang Mi as Shim Gyu Jin, Choi Kwang Il as Hong Il Kyeong, Oh Hyun Kyung as Kim Yeon Hee, and Im Chul Soo as Kang Young Woo. 

Hospital Playlist actor Yoo Yeon Seok plays the role of Baek Sa Eon, the youngest spokesperson for the Presidential Office. He is a character with a stern and icy demeanor.

I'm Not a Robot actress Chae Soo Bin takes on the role of Hong Hui Ju, a character who suffers from mutism due to an accident during her childhood. The actress impressed everyone at the script reading by flawlessly performing sign language, which she had diligently practiced in preparation for her role as a sign language interpreter. Hong Hui Ju, who lives in a marriage of convenience with her husband Baek Sa Eon, decides to change her life after being kidnapped by a mysterious figure.

Heo Nam Jun plays Ji Sang Woo, a psychiatrist. He is a gentle and warm-hearted man who stays by Hui Ju's side. Jang Gyu Ri is cast as Na Yu Ri, a popular announcer.

When the Phone Rings is based on a popular KakaoPage web novel, and is penned by Doctor John writer Kim Ji Woon. The K-drama is helmed by The Forbidden Marriage director Park Sang Woo.
