 The Day of the Kidnapping unveils a new poster and teaser.

The Day of the Kidnapping is a mystery thriller about an inept kidnapper, Kim Myung Joon (Yoon Kye Sang), and an 11-year-old genius girl, Choi Ro Hee (Yu Na). 

Based on the novel of the same name by K-thriller writer Jeong Hae Yeon, the drama brings together the talents of the Kingdom director Park Yoo Young and writer Kim Je Young. Furthermore, the drama boasts a stellar cast, including Yoon Kye SangPark Sung HoonYu NaKim Shin RokKim Sang HoSeo Jae Hee, and Kang Young Seok.

The Day of the Kidnapping unveiled a poster and a teaser on August 7th. The unexpected and intriguing chemistry between Yoon Kye Sang and Yu Na is stirring curiosity among viewers. 

The teaser poster gives a peek at the journey and relationship dynamics of the inept kidnapper Kim Myung Joon, and the genius girl Choi Ro Hee.

A news headline flashes on a vintage television screen: "CCTV Footage Obtained of Missing 11-Year-Old Girl". While Kim Myung Joon appears taken aback by the camera, Choi Ro Hee displays an air of composed confidence as she leads him. This intriguing juxtaposition of roles sparks a sense of curiosity and anticipation.


The accompanying teaser further unravels their intriguing relationship. In an atmosphere tinged with tension, the heart-rending sobs of the abducted Choi Ro Hee echo through the house. Simultaneously, the ominous sound of a knife being wielded by Kim Myung Joon, hidden in shadows and behind sunglasses, heightens the suspense. 

A swift change in ambiance occurs as a fluorescent light flickers to life. However, it is revealed that the acts of Kim Myung Joon wielding a knife and Choi Ro Hee crying were because of cutting onions.

A charming and unexpected twist emerges as the two protagonists sit down for a meal, like an ordinary father and daughter, delivering a delightful moment of humor. The phrase "Not Kidnapping, but Parenting" adds a layer of intrigue, further stoking anticipation for the captivating story that will unfold as the inept kidnapper Kim Myung Joon and the extraordinary genius girl Choi Ro Hee embark on their journey.

Actor Yoon Kye Sang takes on the role of Kim Myung Joon, an inept kidnapper. He becomes entangled in an incident while scheming a kidnapping to secure his daughter's medical expenses, turning him into a murder suspect. 

Yu Na's portrayal of Choi Ro Hee is a testament to her prowess, as she embodies a girl who lost her memory and has an extraordinary intellect. 

Park Sung Hoon will play Park Sang Yoon, the detective chasing Kim Myung Joon.
