Can't really compare both. Cdrama have way more eps, so the story have more depth. The weakness of the kdrama because they compressed 40 eps to become 16 eps. Like the story of hae jun/he ziqiu, where he ziqiu struggling with job but hae jun can just buy a building for his dad. But good thing about kdrama version is for people who don't want to watch 40 eps of the original because the pacing was slow enough that some people might get bored. So both have their good points. The cdrama version is for people who can watch slow pacing drama, while kdrama version is for people who likes it fast. One thing that i personally like from kdrama version is the bromance between san ha and hae jun was enjoyable. Ling xiao and he ziqiu seems a bit lacking in that. One thing that makes me hate both version is that psycho mom, i want to slap them in both version. XD

fast? it's so fast there 's nothing about the plot lol
I think the weakest part of Go Ahead is the romance (between the leads and between side characters) and the best part is the family relationship (especially Jian Jian's dad and He Zi's mom), so its a shame that the korean remake seems to put the priority on the wrong thing, at least from what Im reading on reviews.

ktrash fans used to low quality standards and forced romance, so unfortunately it was expected. The best thing is that Go Ahead will always be far superior.
angeliviki2022:Since San Han wasn't in Go Ahead, that did confuse me. Kissing Jian Jian in her sleep was NOT ok. NonCon is never OK. But we'll have to agree to disagree on their status since I don't consider them siblings. They close neighbors with Ling Xiao living upstairs with his Dad.
In the original, the Ling family and the li family had a godparent connection. ling Xiao saved Jian Jin’s from being kidnapped when they were kids. Due to this, jian jian’s father suggested god siblings for the kids, as a way to thank the Ling family for what happen and to secure a family like bond between the kids. The adults like the idea for the two family to have that bond and Ling/li became each kids’ godparents. Godparents are just as respected and loved in the Chinese culture. This is why each of the kids call the other father Ling Ba or Li Ba. To the dads, the three kids are considered their own due to their family history and additional ties. The Korean version didn’t include this incident arc to show how close the families are.
Ling Xiao was a brother figure to JJ growing up but as they got older, Ling Xiao did show signs of interest when they were in the last high school years. Their bond is unique and it may leave viewers skeptical but if you pay attention to the details, LX always like JJ. JJ is the reason that kept him grounded/sane when LX was away living with his crazy mother.
The 2 families do not give me a sense of close bond in the Korean version. There is not much story development when they jump from a time frame to the next.

I think they purposely make it like that so they can have more room for romance between San-Ha and Ju-Won. But for me, their romance isn't better by alot than Ling Xiao and JianJian.

The only thing that developed is, the disappointment of Go Ahead fans from time to time.
unbeliebubble:I did not watch "Go Ahead" but I can tell that the remake focuses on the love story between Ju Won and Sah Na. It is very stereotypical. And things go fast to make the leads get together. I might need to watch the original for more emotional touch.
The remake is like an idol drama. More similar to the School series than Reply. Uses and abuses cliche dialogue and moments.
The original will make you cry ugly. Even if you skip the romance parts its still a very good family drama. And IMO even the side stories are very good.

Bc everyone’s growth and story either moved too fast or no explaination. The drama feels more about the three kids than the story as a whole. I guess due to the 16 ep cap it’s hard to fit everything in there. Go Ahead is a very good drama focusing on family, growth and struggles for the characters.

Yes!!! That drama made me cry so much sad and happy tears…it was a full circle for everyone and issues everyone could relate to when it comes to parents/kids relationship and understanding.

Go watch it, the remake is totally awful and trash. And actor can't even properly act.
Go Ahead makes you cry, this remake makes you laugh because there is nothing, even the romance is forced without any possible reason.

and can't even get it right to the remake when K-dramas viewers keep saying FBC would do the romance justice, when actually it's just rinse and repeat, both Ling Xiao and San Ha forced themselves to Jian Jian and Ju Won

This was the feeling I got. It lacks substanse. It is not the actors fault, the script is not deep and emotional. they could have done better with a story about a great adoptive dad . At the very beginning, I loved the 2 first episodes when the leads were children. It was very cute, and then the cuteness went threw the window when the teenage leads came threw the door. It felt forced sometimes. Even if I love the actors. I still noticed that.

I totally understand your point. I also felt the teenage drama vibe. The couple's chemistry is not growing like in a slow burn romance. At episode 6 ( I think) Ju Won falls into Sah Na's arms, like a big cliché . Almost out of nowhere, we understood that the romance was beginning. That's unfortunate, but it felt rushed to me.

I have not watched "Go ahead " but if it is about the length. A shorter format doesn't deprive a drama from emotion.
For example :
One smile is very alluring - 1h 43
https://mydramalist.com/18916-one-smile-is-very-alluring
Love O2O - 45 mn 30 episodes.
https://mydramalist.com/15031-love-o2o
2 formats but the same cuteness and emotion . The script is almost the same, and that's the key.
