Q: When was the period of time you began to substitute buying pets with adoption?
ZLS: Probably since I was young, ever since I was 5 years old, I started to raise the first dog I ever had in my life. It was also picked up by my mother and then brought home. So I have always had the feeling that dogs that are picked up from the outside have all very nice characters. There’s a type of physique called “dog-attracting” physique. So the dogs in our home are all dogs that are not wanted by other people. Otherwise, they are dogs that our neighbors don’t want. I also feel that I have the capability to give these animals a good life so I decided to raise them. I never thought about anything else. It’s also because I like them.

THE OG PETS

Three of her dogs permanently stay in Chengdu with her family. They are her dogs from her childhood.

Bawan | 80, 000 — “Silly one. Isn’t afraid of anything”

† Midou — “More calm. Whoever treats him well, he’ll treat them well”

Laifu — “Really smart. Running and jumping around like a small deer.”

THE CATS

Rourou | Roe 肉肉 (meat) — mom of three kittens namely Chuyi, Chuer, and Liuliu. 

Michu — She got Rourou first then Michu in July 2020.

THE ONE FROM HENGDIAN

† Ping An — “Super obedient. Didn’t feel unfamiliar with a cage.” It’s adopted during WRTW filming.

Bian Mu formerly Huang Meili — appeared in WRTW and LLTG bts

THE NEW ADDITION

Lele —was a dog that was abandoned and then rejected by many potential owners and stayed unadopted for 6 months because it couldn’t defecate and discharge cleanly at home 
Lusi initially helped to give a shoutout on a xiaohongshu to help it search for a potential owner but nobody would adopt it so eventually lusi took it with her | Source

Lele also appeared in LLTG BTS.

Duoduo | Doe — First appeared during Hidden Love filming. The exception to Chen Zheyuan’s fear of dogs haha!

Dian Dian — Launched by Teenie Weenie on the brand’s Weiboaccount.  Another Dachshund! He seems to go well with Doe.

1. the usual place that she has been adopting her pets from, has always been the same. they’re from fei fei.

fei fei takes in injured and abandoned animals and take them under his care, until there are owners who are ready to take them in.

2. the reason why she’s been adopting these pets from fei fei is because she felt that fei fei has to take care of so many unfortunate animals alone. so she thought he might not have sufficient time for his own personal life. so she initiated to help share his responsibility.
