@Kinara Yes, when I watched him in Love and Redemption (the character Hao Chen), the villain we could hate and love at the same time. It seemed like there was a story in his eyes.

@eliteles1 Exactly. Also in Ancient Love Poetry . His In Blossom role was complex too

#刘学义 Very good mental state#
After interviewing Brother Liu that day, I saw that he clarified the matter of "eating steamed buns" in later activities, so I thought that I wouldn't cut this one (a bit repetitive). But after thinking about it, I still cut it out 📝

, because when I brushed "Liu Xueyi is hungry for eating steamed buns", I also took it seriously, thinking that he was losing weight! I brushed up on a lot of people playing stalks, "extremely hungry", "eating carbs"... I think it's funny too
But after chatting with him and really understanding this matter, I only had sincere admiration and respect in my heart, and I went to watch this famous scene a few more times, so I also hope that one more person can brush up on this real back story.

There are only a few lines in the script, "There is a steamed bun thrown over, Murong Jinghe is very crazy", but he was able to play this impressive famous scene on the spot! This stems from how deep an actor's understanding of the role can make such a wonderful timely response?

Although Brother Liu is very cooperative with the meme, I think this scene should not only be "funny". I hope that if it's the first time for you to watch the scene of "Murong Jing and Eating Steamed Buns", don't be disturbed too much, and you can really enter the plot and feel Murong Jing and this character.

Oops, it's a bit long to write ... I don't want to sensationalize!
All in all, "Spring Flower Flame" is indeed a drama with a lot of heart.
Liu Xueyi is really a good actor, a good actor who is interesting and serious.

By the way, I asked brother, I didn't lose weight! Losing weight is done before entering the group! It's too late to get in and minus, but if there are some scenes that will be exposed, I will exercise 🏋️ again

Memory-7 seconds-: Thank you Xiaowan, you are as serious as Liu Xueyi!

I'm going to change the name that Weibo agrees to: Thank you Xiaowan

9 Why is celery so unpalatable? QAQ Thanks to Xiaowan for your supplement. Liu Xueyi has always been a person with a lot of ideas about acting. The previous Luo Zishang stepped on the memorials and he also improvised on the spot. He was an actor with invincible charm when he was immersed in the role. #刘学义慕容菁和# Why is celery so unpalatable? "Her frown and smile can easily get to me. You know I hate to lose the most, but I'm willing to lose to her for the rest of my life."  - Murong Jinghe has bars for days 👌

Anyway, it feels like the calm before the storm.

LuoMei's aunt is disgusting for setting up her niece like that. For the CP, pretending self control, I have no words on how low he'll always go

I was not expecting the writing to be that cringy and pathetic ... where is the complexity, where is the deepness?? I still want to know the ending, but I'm struggling to finish the drama ...

  • eliteles1  VIP

I wouldn't say pathetic, but I understand what you're trying to say: You would like more suspense, a cat and mouse chase, and only later they discover love. But... (the elements that are in the drama) are actually following the book (softening the anti-hero) towards the possible HE ending, but that's how the book is written.
What I miss is that in the book there was an arc a la Indiana Jones, where they entered a tomb, a sarcophagus and discovered some mysteries together. There was a moment when the two fell into a pit where the sarcophagus was, at another moment (in the darkness of the cave). I found that part interesting, (as well as the part in the stone forest).🤔📜
Even when LXY mentions that MRJH is the trainer of the 100,000 ghosts, I was only reminded of the movie "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King".
(but I still think the 4 screenwriters are managing to capture the real meaning of the book).

Regina de Sá

@eliteles1 Yes, the relationship between them is very balanced, what I find most surprising is that he doesn't interfere in her defense, despite naturally worrying. In general there is that classic paternalism. And that's what's causing this buzz, the fact that she has absolute autonomy and decision-making power. During the eps we always hear "she can defend herself, she is well prepared".

There are times when he bears the burden for her, when he picked up the basket of vegetables and carried them on his back.

I read the book I know it’s part of it but it wasn’t so adolescent and fatuous. In fact it was the best part of the book in terms of the couples emotional development .

  • eliteles1  VIP a few seconds ago

I think the tone that was set in the drama is necessary for what I already said about the ending of the book to be maintained. (If the tone were different, definitely, in the minds of the Chinese fan, they would never accept it). This adolescent, romantic tone is mixed with such mature and inspiring speeches and attitudes that teach about love between a couple who truly love and respect each other.🌹✨🧨🎁🎭🌸💐🌺🌻🌼🌷🏵️🪻🥀☘️

Thank you for this information

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

  • TaliaToo

@PeachBlossomGoddess I read the book too and it's clear to me the change in tone and intensity in the drama of these "interlude" episodes versus the original author's voice throughout her book. Its cuteness is fun to watch and I was entertained, but definitely, the pudgy suitor, the mosquito moment in bed, etc., deviate from the absolute terror and urgency of the few days prior when they were close to death. I'm just critiquing from a writing/tone point-of-view. The acting is still stellar--both actors brought their A-game into their romance moments--and the cinematography is gorgeous.

I think you mentioned a suspension of disbelief to someone before and yes, we have to do it to accept that our self-immolating, cynical, totally ruthless san wang-ye is a love-sick young farmer boy sewing gloves and that he and his assassin woman are cosplaying in a equivalence of a Renaissance Dressup Festival that will last for 2 weeks. Heh heh. It's all right. The kissing was good. I'm easy to bribe. LOLOLOL.

@eliteles1 Yes, I must admit the speech/dialogue is written well, especially during the quiet moments of our couple just talking. I'm hoping that they (and Writer #2 and #3) won't forget these conversations when the true test of their relationship comes in the next batch of episodes. Heh

I really hope so too, that there is a connection in the attitudes and feelings they expressed in the village with the turbulent times that will come next.🏵️🌼🥀

Keep posting good stuff always looking forward to seeing them

PeachBlossomGoddess

@eliteles1 I think you underestimate Chinese fans. From the comments I've read they are not all hankering for adolescent fairytales.

  • eliteles1  VIP

I say this because of the comments I read during filming on the drama's Weibo page (they always mentioned it) that this character was trash, to use other terms, who would dare to accept playing him? And they always repeated that the book was crap, because the main male character, after everything he did, had a happy ending with the main female character.
    PS:
So...especially for Morung Jing He from the book, there was a huge rejection against the happy ending presented by the book.
    PS:
I think the 4 scriptwriters wanted this happy ending. And everything they did was to keep it that way. That's why the synopsis of the drama had 2 versions. One version that decimates as a final statement that they could not love each other. And the current one that does not talk about love in the last paragraph, but only about the issue of the "master of shadows", the crucial revelation to be discovered by the heroine in the drama.

Ahh, thank you so much for telling me that. Yes, I will continue posting.

@PeachBlossomGoddess I hope the drama follows a path that makes sense with everything they've been building up to now and until the end. 🫥😶‍🌫️😇🙃

sulkytofu

I'm seeing a lot of comments with mixed reviews and am hoping to get some insight to set my expectations: What kinds of tropes are in this drama, and who would you recommend it for? Is it heavier on the fluffy and romantic scenes, or more on plot? Is this actually a villain falls for the FMC/villain falls first, or is it much more tragic and angsty instead? And what types of viewers might really enjoy this work, versus types of viewer who might be disappointed seeing this?

  • eliteles1  VIP

    Hide Spoiler

The drama is a mix of dark elements and (deeply romantic and sweet) elements. There is a bit of intrigue, there is the general and his battles, and the heroine who is a mix of a super powerful warrior, but also someone full of mercy, sweet and romantic.
When the tone was darker in the first episodes, everyone was enjoying it, when the episodes that placed the couple in love in a romantic idyll arrived, some didn't like it, because they thought that the way it was presented in the drama didn't convince them (but I think these criticisms will diminish), when the conflict starts again. But I particularly liked the moment of idyll) and each of their words seemed convincing, because the two are not villains, nor murderers, they are kind souls in the middle of a war (with a desire to punish those responsible for their tragedies), but they haven't lost their essence. I think that these arcs in the drama will all fit together perfectly like chess pieces, making everything make sense in the end.
