Episode 1. I love the ML's look with that dark slim suit and pony tail! I need to see him in a man bun now!🥰
Who is that laughing hyena next to Manager Zhu  at dinner?  Her purpose is to laugh at everything that guy says to make him feel good? 🙄
Ooh, slagging off on his accent?🤣
Unbuttoning shirt, loosening tie. Time to...drink! Removing bottle cap with teeth. 🤣
Everyone loves the ML. He is the ultimate sales person! And he knows how to get the sly digs in.
The beginning part in the dungeon reminds me of the beginning of Men in Black, with the camera following bug flying around until it spats on the windshield. Anyone else? Or maybe that's just me. The music is awesome, following the fly, into the spider web, then spider onto ML until...splat!🪰🕷️🕸️
Trying to explain and sounding totally like crazy man. And check out the cameo of the guard! 'Are you going to eat or not? If not I will give it to the dogs.'😂

Yang Yan is my 2nd favorite character so far. Well, 3rd if you count the ML.😘
'Demons are transformed from animals.' You hear a dog growling and a cat meowing! "Isn't cat food or dog food more tempting?" Slap, getting sidetracked!😹🐶

I just love how it seems like everyone in Dafeng is instantly under the ML's spell. He comes up with am lets face it, a really weak theory, and everyone decides it's what happened.🤗
Watching and rewatching scene where they are wearing their 'protective gear' against toxic gases and I still snort-laughed! 🤣Check out everyone in that scene, including all the guys in the background, had their 'protective gear' on! 🤣

Episode 2! 🤣 Too much fun stuff to comment on. 😂Comic chops are strong with this one!
Once again, the family dynamic is everything! 🥰The first scene, Xinnian kicking over the stool. The family standing there with blank smiley faces. 😶Then they throw the chickens and run towards Xinnian.🐔😂 Xinnian saying close the door. They all run to close the door saying to the watching crowd outside 'Disperse'.  Xinnian chokes out leave someone behind. They all run back.🤣 The ML holds up the uncle who is holding his cousin and somehow they spin around and his hair gets twisted in the hanging rope. 🤣The chickens are laughing! 🐔🤣Then everyone falling over! Knock knock on the door, is everything ok, yes, they start to close the door, what's the matter now, they hold up the ridiculously adorable little niece and I'm losing it! How bloody cute is she? 😍They say Doug Ding was left outside, Aunt says to just throw her on the ground! I laughed so much through this chaos I had to keep pausing and rewinding! All this in under 3 minutes! Lord I love this show!😂🥰

Episode 3. Starts off with introduction to the Guardians and the ML suffering from extreme hero worship, fluttering eyelashes and all!🤩
The ML watching the Guardians fight, big eyes, big smile, turning his head left and right...until you hear a juicy-sounding slash and a screan and the ML's face goes 'holy fuck' looking left then right and then up in the air and ooooh, flop! This ML!😲🤣
Oh man, the ML is a goner! Huge man-crush on the Guardians! He's like a little boy around a sports star! He's even in the courtyard pretending to be a Guardian, throwing dishes!🤗🤣
The ML's 'reward' for solving the case is to get locked in a room to review every case file? Wow. Aww, he asks for Xiao Bo to stay with him! He's so cute! Good doggie!🥰🐶
After 3 days of reviewing cases, ML turns up the whine! Look at his eyes! And...uncle sells him out! ML grabbing his chest...🤣
Being a guardian isn't worth it. Not the first or last time!😂
And they take him to a brothel! Where he pretends to be shy. Adorable!And he keeps finding money. And going to the brothel. And having fun! Damn, I want to see some BTS of them dancing at the brothel. Looks like they were having fun!😂
And just like that - poem! And cousin doing a melodramatic reading of the poem🎭
Are they physically onsite somewhere for the Yunlu Academy scenes. Cause that's just beautiful! And if it's green screen, well done!💖
The 2 teachers fighting over who get to teach the ML. They are so funny and over-the-top. I'll be using that description a lot I can tell!🤣
Seeing Zhang Chen Xiao as a bad guy! And not just a bad guy but like one of the worst! But, I love him! He is such a good guy in Dashing Youth!🥹
(This is where these ancient china stories lose me. So this guy, in broad daylight, attempts to molest a young girl. Her brother steps in and pushes him away and tells her to run. And this gives them the right to pull out knives and sever his tendons and kill him?)

Stumbling upon this discussion has made my day, there is nothing I love more than rambling and it's so great to see there are others out there who feel the same way. Keep it up! You have inspired me to maybe do something like this for a different drama just to get all the swirling thoughts out of my head. I usually just say them aloud while watching (no one should ever watch a drama with me, it would probably be an unpleasant experience with all my running commentary lol) but maybe writing them down would be fun!
